After years of building strategies, telling stories, and helping brands and services become newsworthy, I decided to fully dive into the digital world: content creation, social media management, and a “digital-first” mindset. Why? Because that’s exactly where our ideal consumer lives—no matter the industry.

When TikTok transformed the way we communicate—visual, fast, raw, and honest—I made it my mission to truly understand the platform. The result? 100,000 followers in one week.Along with building my own agency and achieving my dream of living abroad, it’s one of the biggest milestones of my career.

Here’s what TikTok taught me:

1) Value first, always

Before posting anything, I ask myself:Does this add value? Does it help someone? If it doesn’t, there’s no reason to share it.

As the book How to Influence People in the Digital Age says:People don’t care about you—they care about what they get from you.Entertainment, inspiration, answers, solutions… that’s the strategy.

2) SEO happens inside the platform

We used to say “Google it.” Now we say: “Just TikTok it.”A picture is worth a thousand words… and a video is worth even more.

It’s 2025 and I still have videos from 2020 getting views because they answer real questions.People use TikTok for recipes, Instagram for skincare, and YouTube to fix things. So think in SEO terms:What are people searching for? What do they need? What problem are you solving?

3) Community first & social listening

The best ideas come from comments, questions, and conversations.Your community literally tells you what content they want—if you’re willing to listen.

4) The algorithm is people

TikTok’s algorithm isn’t just technology. It’s how your audience changes—their interests, behaviors, emotions, and habits. If they change, your content needs to evolve too.

5) Simpler is always better

The most powerful content is the content anyone can understand.Clear, simple, relatable—that’s what wins.

6) Be human

People connect with faces, emotions, imperfections, humor, and honesty.Human energy goes further than perfect production.

7) Purchases now happen inside TikTok and Instagram

Platforms don’t want users leaving the app. That’s why today’s content needs to inform, inspire, or convince without asking people to click away.
